Things have changed a lot. It used to be that you'd get a heavy fine if you fell a tree into the river. You might work half a day with wedges and jacks and dutchmen and everything else you could think of and still have the #### thing go sideways on you and land in the water. If you did, you better hook a bunch of chokers together to get it 'cause you sure weren't taking a Cat or a skidder into the river. Now, they're flying trees in with an S-64 to create habitat. They still don't want any machinery in the river. Unless they do.
