Is there a way to get into OTR trucking without a driver trainer?

If your gonna hire on Schnieder why not go through their school. You will have to go out with a trainer with any company. Previous experience means a year or more usually

Just drive for a company where you don’t have to team. They generally are more selective.

Is it possible to fail the orientation road test? I graduated cdl school 2 months ago because I got my Hazmat endorsement and wanted it before I applied to companies which took nearly 2 months in Florida . Im just worried that my skills aren’t as sharp as a couple months ago. Have you ever heard of anyone failing the orientation road test, and if so, how bad do you have to perform in order to fail it?
Is the orientation road test more so a means to determine how long you have to be with a trainer,than to actually determine if you are hire-able?

Doubt you'll fail; it's easy. Just don't curb a tire or do a rolling stop at a stop sign.

 

There's a dozen or so companies that will hire you right now. The road test determines how long you may need a trainer.
