    Very common. Self compacting or easily compacted.

    Poured thousands of yards of 1 sack into utility trenches.

    Why digging in the utility trench?

    Bummer. Had that on house 1 many moons ago.

    Main line was about 95% roots. Said f it, dug it up and replaced it.

    Amazing thing was it went to totally clear pipe like 10 feet from the easement.

    Replaced the terracotta with ABS. They make a Fernco that adapts terracotta to ABS.

    If we get lucky, we’ll only have to dig 2 holes, set a bursting machine and pull new pipe to the drop for the tap. Unlucky— about 60’ of trench/pipe from the house to the drop. Got to get the clog blown out and camera it to see if it’s graded in order for the bursting to work— pleasures of buying a 50 yr old house
