I unloaded in a T-storm with heavy tain yesterday in Fayetteville, Ar. Nothing like the feeling you get being on the top of a tank trailer closing the dome lid in a T-storm. Did get in closed down in record time though.

Where we live is near the American river we have turkeys cruising the neighborhoods all the time. Hate when on of the Tom's strutts his ### to close to our wrought iron gate trying to intimidate our Shepard. I'll spend the next few hours cleaning up that mess. It sometimes gets worse for poor Lincoln seems if he ingests too many feathers it can block him up good.

And that rocky scrabbly ground actually grows those fine potatoes? Seriously, I have been pending asking actually where you use the fertilizer you were delivering, as I saw not any good farm ground in any of the backgrounds. True, Learn something on TTR every day.

Thise pictures I posted yesterday is in an area with little to no rock, other than what has been hauled in for roads. It's all sand which, truth be known, grows beautiful spuds... But you do have to fertilize more. This particular outfit has well north of 25,000 acres IIRC.

We dont have heavy, loamy soil like y'all do east of the big river.

The stuff Im currently hauling is put into the ground through the planters and cultivators, at a rate of 31 gallons to the acre.

Lift capacity is kind of like horsepower.. Hard to have too much. Like one of my old partners said about getting gas every time he went out on a service call.
Me: Demp, It is just 6 blocks away, take longer to add gas than fix the machine.
Demp: Roger, it is easier to haul it than tote it.
