    Well said.

An is that those little pretzel things filled with peanut butter on the table?

    Those things are awesome.

    Nice view!

One did it about 4 weeks into an annual RFP, with the intent for rates to go live mid-late May, one did it 4 weeks into a 3 MONTH BID, with rates going live last week. By the time all of their carriers repriced and they uploaded new rates and awarded new primaries, there's a month of the bid cycle left before we reprice . . . .

I figured sense we saved so much on the house we should splurge on the snacks. Yes they do have peanut butter and they are great! I almost had a stroke when my wife showed me what they were getting this summer for the house. I guess the Motel 6 will keep the light on for us.

Did they let you do that when things were shooting up? If so then that’s fair enough, if not then it’s bs. Big waste of time.

I don't think that will ever happen again...

My personal opinion is that the trucking industry is going to continue to be flooded with people coming here from other countries, in big numbers. I'm not saying that to bad mouth any of them personally but, I definitely do not think the US Government will allow what went on the past 2 years to ever happen again. Considering all these big huge companies are political donors, and they certainly didn't like shelling out the amount of money they had to for shipping costs...

I don't think it's the cost so much as the timeline. Shippers and receivers don't like having to set their schedules around the trucks availability.

I’m curious how long the New Entrants will last now that it’s gotten tough. At what point do they throw in the towel. The easy monies gone. How many will hang on hoping for better rates. How many will quit, since it’s not very Lucrative anymore. How many even know any better? At this rate, it won’t take long to go under.

I believe they will have capacity issues eventually. It's the reason boom/bust cycles happen and inevitable. Too many trucks brings down the rates, they all bid each other out of business, then capacity is once again short and the rates rise again. The reasons may change to cause the capacity shortage or overage but the routine is 100 percent the same.

As far as foreigners? I have a massive problem with having to compete with non-citizens in my own country and none of us should ever have to compete with those that aren't even on our own soil. That's flat out ridiculous. The fact this is even allowed here is flabbergasting to say the least.
