Those guys remind me of the guys who ride around with ape hangers on their bikes, especially those riding a hardtail. I think it has to be an image thing, because it sure doesn't seem like it would be very comfortable especially for any length of time or miles.

No disrespect to those who do, in either case, but tall shifters and ape hangers just ain't for me.

    Hahaha.
You beat me to the ape hanger comment.
I will add that I think the same guys that have them on their choppers later in life started out with them on the first bicycle they had at 5 yr old. I know at least one guy who did in my old neighborhood.

What an understated comment! I hate watching this video. Not only does he take his hand off the steering wheel to use 2 hands to shift, but all it is is splitting up. He puts the main in neutral then back in the same gear as he splits his 13 speed up. And no, it's not an 18 speed because if it were, the showboater would split the bottom end too.

I ride with no air in the seat I'm short. If I had air in the seat my legs would be dangling Lol and uncomfortable. I don't have a low rider seat either, no air is just perfect for me. Do whatever is comfortable

20220418_174322.jpg i hope I'm allowed a low ride seat! I suppose I could mount my shift buttons on the ceiling...

I think you’re right about the bicycle. I have the miniature version on mine, with only about 12 inches of rise.

The ones were you have to reach way up in the air is a bit much IMHO.

Most of them don't understand there is more to trucking than pulling a box around for a mega fleet...
