Too many doomsday naysayers on this site. Nonetheless I'm in the same boat. I make money regardless of fuel and rates. Keep running smart simple. Repair that Fld. It's It's simple money maker.

This truck is becoming an obsession. Never thought I would be into it this much. I come home and my son is climbing on new muffler (still in box) in living room. Steering shaft box in other corner. Getting real serious here LOL

Parts are pretty cheap on that truck. Once you get a rebuilt engine. Good as Gold. Other things are cosmetic

Engine has been machined and should start being built tomorrow. I can’t wait to get them swapped.

Even then it’s still your choice. Never a failure. You’re going to have a Turn Key Truck. Other things can and will need repair or replaced. Same as any Truck. Worst case scenario is an unexpected clutch Trans, power divider. Even if, you’ll just have new parts. Shouldn’t get anything over a $5000 surprise. Always doable. Good it’s becoming an obsession. Only way you’ll be motivated to keep up on the small stuff. Most things can be done at your convenience. There’s no right way or wrong way. Just different ways of doing things. Main thing is you’re doing things the way you decide. Now get those mufflers on and start planning on painting that hood.

Need the entire truck painted. Need a backwoods painter who is good with a makeshift booth. And cheap lol

Good deal. I remember a little bit ago you saying it still hasn't seated yet. I was down to 5.8-5.9 for a bit but sent out all 6 injectors to be pop tested and found 2 weak ones. Not a complete miss but a partial every now and then. Back up to 7.0 avg now.

Edit: it really pisses me off not even 200k on the set. Their aftermarket Rochester Diesel stg2 injectors. Took em apart and they ground the numbers off so idk what tips they are. Found another place K&S fuel I can send them one and they'll send the same size ones. Not happy they should go 600k + easily
