I can appreciate your perspectives too. I appreciate the conversation very much. I have a hard time believing the government wanted to push small businesses out. They offered the PPP loans to keep them afloat, without having to pay it back if used properly. I guarantee you they don't want to see these businesses of any kind go under. I felt they encouraged it. That don't help the economy not one bit. While big business has a lot of pull in our society, the economy can't grow without the small business man/woman. They may not want to admit that, but competition is good. Like I said, I hear all of what you and others are saying, and I don't necessarily disagree with all of it. I just understand every point of view.

 

Wow really? Such a 1776 way of thinking, huh? Lots, and I mean lots of people feel this way. I don't mean I'm going to go after someone who isn't doing something to me or is doing some BS regulation. But the government is trying to take total control. All you see is us on here not wanting/fighting for not having the speed governed. The government is well beyond this small issue. Look into New World Order, the Elites (wanting to track our every move....by way of a shot to track us). Go ahead. Look into that. Would you be okay with that?

Look at our freedom of speech. Slowly fading away. Democrats are freaking grooming young kids to not know who they are. Making them doubt whether they are a boy or a girl.

Child: I have a ######. I'm a girl.
Govt: Well are you sure you are a girl? Don't you feel like a boy? Do you like to play with cars? Do you like other girls? Maybe you're a boy. Maybe you're lesbian.
Child: Well....I like Hailey. She's really pretty. Does that make me a boy?

And so the story goes.

Now we have this non-binary, LGBTQ, even though I'm a man and I have a #####, I am going to join the women's Olympic swim team because I'm a woman now. Takes away scholarships from actual women. I don't give a crap what you want to be or claim to be.....if you are born a girl, you are a girl. If you are born a boy, you are a boy. I don't care what surgery you have had. That is just the way things are.

Freedom of speech? What's happening to that? You can say gay or lesbian because that might hurt their feelings. Boohoo! If you are gay, then that is what you are. I'm not going to use some fancy word to make you feel better about yourself. What about the minute a white person gets called a cracker? It's not racist, but if I call them the N-word after they've called me that, oh hell. It is the end of the freaking world. That's BS.

When the government tries to force you to get a vaccine or take your kids away will you let them? Guns are for when they try to overstep when it is that extreme. This is what they are working toward little by little.

 

Not. Not in a snow packed, complete blizzard, or fog outside. Absolutely not. But I have gone that fast when lightly covered and it depends on the area and terrain also. Exactly....for me thinking that oh hell they could be watching me like I'm a terrorist or some crap. No freedom of speech. I have no intent on hurting a government official until they come at me. I'll be fighting with the rest of our country when the time comes (unfortunately, most of the people that would fight will be gone by then like @D.Tibbitt stated). Sad, sad truth.

I get a lot of these dumb idiots don't have good judgement, but if they have to keep putting all of these regs on people and rules etc (I don't think it has anything to do with safety either for clarification), but it is fine if you do....then what? Now we will have to put safety devices on pencils so people don't stab themselves in the eye, have a different way to eat through some other part of the body because we are too stupid to not choke on our own food? It's not my fault this generation is ####ing dumb enough to eat tide pods

You completely ignored my question as to how you think it is just to punish all of us en masse for the misdeeds of some individuals - many of whom have already been punished by paying fines, losing safety bonuses, being written up, terminated, or even being deemed unemployable and/or uninsurable.

In the aggregate maybe, but you certainly don't seem to think about everyone around you as individuals.

As long as it fits your definition of "what's best for everyone," which obviously doesn't include respecting individuals' rights and choices.

You're free to sacrifice whatever of yours that you wish, but you are not free to make that decision for anyone else.

Making a law that's essentially a carbon copy of one already on the books isn't going to make people follow them. Enforcement of what's already in place is the only answer. When will these low IQ losers figure this out?
