8's and 6's, 1 of each on each side, along with three tarp pads. I should have done these lightweight tarps long ago.

I’ve got a 32x32 and a couple 29x30’s you can have. Heavy is an understatement

I don't mind using Macropoint, but if I use it, I don't make any calls unless something is out of the norm. Loaded? Look at my arrival/departure times from shipper. ETA? Look at my last updated location and google it. I'll answer a call while on it because sometimes things happen or change, but if it's a stupid check call, I block the number before I go to sleep. There are exceptions, but generally if there isn't a ratecon within a few minutes of hanging up it's usually a bad omen.

I have read and heard some of the horror stories from a broker's perspective so I can understand some paranoia on their part, but the PITA's are usually just idiots and not because they're stressed out over being burned.

    Out of curiosity..

Why'd they want the tracking AND the three check calls a day? I get the broker/customers wanting to know when their shipment is going to arrive at final, but wanting to be able to watch you on an app PLUS expect you to call three times a day seems excessive. (Unless the load is some kind of super time sensitive/expensive thing)

i will provide check calls no problem.. that is something i do without even being asked or required to do it.. i get that they wanna track their load... who wouldnt? but i wont do it for free... if they want to see where im at any time of day they can pay to have that.. its a luxury in my opinion...

they are no better than me. on the ratecon, it says if you dont do tracking or check calls its a $200 dollar fee. and in the carrier packet it says (paraphrasing here) they can withhold any money from the load if you do not follow all the directions in the rate con... i wonder how many people actually read that? that seems like a set up for disaster as I have used those tracking apps before and when you dont do it regularly, its easy to forget to turn it on.. so you complete the job and they dont have to pay you because of a simple mistake? that seemed like a recipe for disaster which is why I said to get rid of it or pay me more money to deal with it.... the way they got so defensive, i wonder how many guys they have screwed because of that?

Your guess is as good as mine. seemed excessive to me.. it was a small oversize load... nothing crazy expensive or time sensitive
