I’m not surprised. With how much guys were making during the pandemic.. I’m sure we have a lot of new comers who rode the wave.

The "experts" are expecting the average for gasoline to be $5/gal soon. What's that mean for diesel?
Dave_in_AZ and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
Well considering that they are starting to program the pumps for $10/gallon...

I realize it is a global trade, and an oil business job is to go where the profits are. OK
BUT does it mean that U.S. domestic oil magnates cannot be patriotic enough to increase the production, just like OPEC was asked to do many times before to mitigate the prices, you know....to help American folks to ease up the pain? After all why all this talk about great American wealth and resources, if an average Joe and Mary can't get a piece of it?
Everybody here wants Old Joe to take the blame but was it him to tell them - those oil field fat cats to shut down drilling or cut down on output?
If there is one bakery in town that has all flower in the world in their stock room, and people are walking hungry, a decent, God fearing baker would try to make more bread...or so I would like to think.
However,
Cheaper fuel is not a remedy for capacity oversaturation - which is what we are dealing with now. I guarantee that the minute you pay 2 dol per gallon, rates are dropping down to 1.75 per mile.Last edited: May 21, 2022

All the dummies running around for $2 a Mile.
Near half that alone goes to fuel.
What if you pay a driver, what if you're leased to a carrier that takes a percentage?
You're out of money real quick and there's still a lot of other costs.Midwest Trucker Thanks this. -
