Because i had to drive some when a youngster...and owned a couple trucks with them over the years. I swear a 500 hp Cat or Mack engine would out pull anything Cummins makes no matter what they claim it makes for power...and so #### unreliable...need to carry a mechanic and spare engine along if going more than 18 feet away from the shop.

I have an opportunity to buy a 2018 t680 c15 efficiency, 450hp, 13sp, 3:55 rears, one lock up, VIT interior package, hid headlights, etc etc. Tripak APU, 234" wheelbase. 634,000ims or 394,000miles.
Small fleet owned, well taken care of. Service books records all available.
They want 120k for them.... what issues are you, or anybody seeing with these engines? I swore I'd never part with my glider but I have had it almost 5 1/2 years and have the itch for a smoother quieter rig... mine is needing frame and cab paint and has almost 840k miles. I may need my head examined but... never had a cummins, wondering the pros and cons of these trucks?

Why not get a brand new one so you have warranty on it and less issues?

$240k is too rich for me. $120 is almost. I probably wont do it, I'll paint my truck and keep it. Equipment is crazy now.
    These are nice trucks tho.

When you consider 20-25 K a year in maintenance cost for a used truck it comes out about the same in the end.

My truck is nowhere near $20k a year. Joy's of owning a columbia 60series glider I guess.
I think it's just going to get a paint job, frame painted, and new seats and call it a day.
