Like used forks in the lift truck business,.. Get a bargain a on nice set of 42". Hide one; so when the prospect comes by for one used to match the nice 42" he has left , you sell him your pair. Take the one in on trade at say $25. Keep it till you can pick up a mate. Never have as USED PAIR visible.
In the 50's used to trade pistols. Yours and all the ammo you had and $25.00 cash for mine. Decent guns were not that expensive then. So next fish swam in, same deal.. Always had a usable pistol and a wide variety of ammo was free.

Would love to have one of those factory new, standard equipped. TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) had them for "pickup truck" application in building the steel tower long power lines out of Muscle Shoals/Joe Wheeler dams on down south in the late 40's. I think those were continued production as the war plants wound down after 45. Tough, go anywhere and get you back.

Pretty amazing we've no baby food, or microchips ( supposedly ), but have Harbor Freight tools and fireworks out the ###.

    Tis the season.

This morning ran into one of the leadership from the place I ran for last year. The fireworks in the ports now are marginal for getting through the domestic supply line. Local facility is about to slow down container receiving so the warehouse folks can focus on shipping to customers/other distributors. There are a couple of containers still inbound with product they are in need of for this season. They will get those ones through the process but the rest will need to wait.

Will refocus on port containers in August after inventory gets taken/reconciled.......

Thing about it is that if you can and are willing, you’ll always have beans on the table if you know about operating a Messican backhoe— not real glamorous, but neither are beans, but when meat gets scarce it’s that or hunt giant killer anacondas

Anaconda can be a mighty fine meal.
