Most Interesting Load

An ive poured concrete into many of them styrofoam foundations, sucks if they dont have a pump there an have to pour off the truck. Must add ive hauled Black concrete, and red concrete, and blue concrete, talk about some expensive conrete slabs.

 

Well Redsox, I hate to tell you this but in the early part of 2000 I was hauling personal carriers in Ca.
I took them from a base to a reserve unit in the bay area.

During the day they would load or unload me, I was given clearance to come onto both sites at night and ld. or unld. myself.

I was hauling for them.
I was an outside contractor.. Period.

These units needed to be moved by a certain time and date and I did it.
The last unit I delivered was on a Sat. morning at the reserve unit.
I broke the trl. down and got in and fired it up and offlded..

Some Lt. asked me who gave you the right to off ld. that unit??

I matter of factly told him the master sgt. did.

He started to jump into me and then low and behold was the master sgt.

He told the Lt. I gave him permission to ld. and offld. these units and he did what needed to be done.

End of disscusion.
The Lt. about crapped..

There have been other times I have lded or unld. military lds. not all the time but it does happen.

So know your facts before you jump somebody.

I once had a load of Old Dollar Bills.. It was going to a plant in PA that burnt the old money.. I was followed the whole way. black suv's.. I wasnt allowed to stop .. even to pee.. lol.. When I got the place.. they had me drop trailer.. an yard truck came an got it.. the driver said he will have it back out to me in lil bit.. I wasnt allowed past the double gate.. an I didnt know what I had till i had it delievered .. Guess they didnt want me to steal a 48ft van full of 1 dollar bills..

Yea that would A DREAM COME TRUE.. .. But I did tell my dispatch I would have takin that load off thier hands..for free.. .. We use to get a lot of Gov contract loads.. Think they haul that stuff them selfs now.. But I figure it still goes to the big furance in pa..

38,000 pounds of condoms for Walmart. LOL the wife asked me if I was kidding. Passed her the pile of BoL and told her to look for herself. If you have ever pulled a load for Wal-Mart you will know about the stack.

 

Ok, mine isn' t that interesting.....
Just recently my wife and I hauled 2.5 million scratch off lottery tickets from Fl. to the Oregon Lottery........ Double sealed, and secured onsite...... Potentially the most high dollar load I've hauled in 17yrs.
Then back in the early 90's I was hauling dry van, and had a load into York Pa. After I unloaded I contacted dispatch and she gave me my "backhaul". She said I needed to get to a place in Blue Ball Pa. and pick up a load of decorative stone. Then told me I would deliver them in Intercourse, Pa..... and after that she had a load out of Paradise, Pa and go to Hell Mi.
Of course she told me to " Go get your load in Blue Ball and then get your "rocks" off in Intercourse, after which you can be in Paradise, then go to Hell".............
I have often wondered just how hard she had to work to get these loads , in that order........ but it was definitely a fun set of loads! And she is the only dispatcher yet that has told me to go to hell and not have me mad at her!!

 

Ive hauled a load of condoms for walmart before to, totally forgot about that until you posted that. Delivered it to a dc in the upper part of florida. Also had a multi million dollar load of cellphones, picked it up in fort worth and delivered it to a dump of a whse in Ontario cali. They almost sent an escort along with that one but we were a team truck so they figured we wouldnt be stopping anywhere.
