Should I cancel my beach trip in August? I could probably use that money for living expenses after I am bankrupt and have moved the family into a full size sedan from the late 90’s. I tried prostitution but man I’m not cut out to be a working girl. My jaws hurt.

Things might be slightly off because of my conversion of Gallons to litres conversion and then calculating the exchange rates because I'm in Ontario, Canada so with the conversion including the exchange rate $7.65/Gallon = $2.02/litre (exchange rate $1 usd = $1.26 Cad) = $2.54 Cad. So 'Yes' an honest mistake I got lost in the conversion from gallons to liters. Lol Honest mistake. My Paccar MX13 is around 9.1 MPH 235.215/(9.1 US mpg) = 25.848 L/100 km so even @ $2.54/liter Cad ($7.65/Gallon usd) @ 2500 miles (1039.54 Liters = 274.617 Gallons) = $2640 44 Cad = $2085.95 Usd ($2100) rounded up from the American pump @ $7.65/Gallon. As for the insurance Yes I'm New as a O/O New Authority so I'm paying $19,750 Usd ..it is what it is along with a new 2023 Pete payment $750 per week. I always average up because I've learned in life (especially in Trucking) nothing seems to go down in business so failing into a debt hole is to easy with exact numbers so average more.

I use to drive an older day cab Peterbilt 579 that averaged 40 liters per 100 km (5.8 mpg) in the city so I tend to use those numbers for fuel average.

Seems like you have a great deal and most likely one of the few real good places to be at. I have been a self starter all my life and have always been in charge rather I worked for someone else or myself. Only had to answer to anyone the first few months I ran the show and they seen I had there best interest at heart. When I work, I work hard and expect to be paid as such. And when I take off, I don't want to deal with anyone because I either have some home project going on or I am being lazy. Ha Ha Again, I know It is good for some people and I am sure I could go under someone like you and do just fine. But for no more then it is to do my own thing I cant help but believe I will most likely never work for anyone else.

Dedicated run with one of the trucks. No trailer, no insurance charges, only QC each month. Multiple trucks doing this. Don't have to have a high % to do good. Not paying trailer rent or insurance whether you're working or not.

My trucks not paid for, and I posted in this thread exactly what I would have left based on my actual costs if I were running for 1.70 per mile to my truck, which was your original topic. Nobody with any business sense is going to stay at a place that nickels and dimes them for every little thing. You’re already giving them a decent percentage so companies that charge for insurance and every little things are just using that as an additional revenue stream. It’s not that hard to figure out.
