I don,t know, but where i live injectors are twice as much as an ecm.Last i herd, pdi had some special on ecm tuning and it was $1600. I priced out some injectors here at peterbuilt and it was $3600 for the 10r8501 remans! (same as 57s). If your just lookin for more power and your injectors are fine, go with the ecm. You would be suprised at how much fuel a 57 will flow with the right programing. Plus 15 minutes to install the ecm and like what, 2-3 hours for injectors??

Yea i think im going to go with an ecm but i want to go with a 600 file but the peterbilt dealer we take our trucks to said i would have to change things on the motor. I dont know how much of this is true but he said 550 would be fine cause i have 1810 rearends so i can bump it up and not have any issues.

I agree with swaan. If you don't need injectors yet, I would go with custom tuned ECM. You wil definetly bring the truck to life and defnetly be happy.

I just got my truck back and, no luck. We checked for leaks, all good there, turbo all good there. So we went for the injectors and checked the top end everything looked good

Oh yeah. I went with the 58's and it seem to help with my egt's there down to about 700 loaded. I still have seem to have the boost problem I'll get about 32psi and feels kinda of slugish then it jumps up to 40,41psi and it's poppin wheelies:biggrin_2554: I've asked around about a bad ECM and they tell me that if it was bad it would show a code or if wouldn't start at all but seems weird to me, boost up and down, it blown black smoke one min then the next min you can't make it even if you tried, and speedo goes wacky sometimes to. I don't know anymore
