Most tires have a tread depth indicator molded into the top cap. You can find the location of these indicators by looking at the sidewall of the tire. You should see a small arrow or pointer where they are located.
A while back, the standard way to measure a tire was the average of 3 locations, equal distance around the tire. Today, i think your required to make a virus video and get voted on.

if those were on a truck I was driving and the boss dude wouldn't change them, I'd stop at the next weigh station and ask them. you'll have new tires before you leave!!
or at least have an inspection stating bad tires.

yup, done it.
they weren't steers, they were drives and I drove our Canadian runs, with winter coming on.
we were out of N.C and they didn't seem to understand about driving in snow.
