Did they actually remove the driver-facing bits?

Yeah, the new camera is a little square with only one lens facing out and there is also a small rectangle bottom right of tge windshield with led lights on it that are blue and green and a keypad on the dash with a big green button on it.

Next item would be a cpm raise of around 5-10 cpm and tightened hiring practices. Might help the other issues.

It’ll never happen. There’s no need for the company to change anything. They’re lined up now with what is offered.

Left Jubitz Saturday at 0 dark 30 with 3 700+ mile days in a row. Sitting in the first service plaza on the Indiana Tpk. 665 miles to my drop in Fredericksburg Pa for 2am Wednesday. Will not be doing a split sleeper to get this drop done. If I did, then I’d be on nights and that ain’t happening. Frystown Flying J is 3 miles from the delivery, so I’ll do what every professional would do, make my delivery as scheduled, on my terms.

That would be nice considering all the trailers I gotta get fixed after a drop and hook plus I like having nice equipment....

Made my delivery in Tualatin this morning, then drove to my second delivery in Sisters.

Holy crap, what a beautiful drive. The kind of drive that makes me glad I have a job that occasionally lets me see some of the most beautiful landscape this country has to offer.

Right after I got unloaded in Tualatin, I sent a nice little message on the QC letting them know that I would be arriving in Sisters in 3 hours or so, and since there aren't any truck stops within 45 minutes of the receiver, it would be swell if they could go ahead and start looking now for a load to get me out. Sure enough, 20 minutes before arriving at the receiver in Sisters, I got a preload. So that was alright.

The preload is to pick up something from the dairy plant in Lemoore, CA. I think it's butter, but not sure. (If it's not butter, then I can't believe it's not butter.) Currently pitched up at the TA in Redding.

Drive from Sisters to Redding was almost as beautiful as the drive from Tualatin to Sisters. I could definitely get used to this.

I am suspicious about this pick-up because I know the Lemoore plant has appointment times, and this load assignment doesn't have one. Just a date. The last time I tried to pick up at Lemoore with no appointment time, it turned out that the load I was picking up was due to be picked up two days before I got the load assignment, and that resulted in a day of layover for me as they worked me in.

Hopefully things will go smoothly and I'll be out of there without undue delays. Will be stopping at the TA in Buttonwillow so I can get a Plow Boy sandwich from the Willow Ranch restaurant next door.

Load is due in Richmond next Monday, and I will be driving on recap the whole way there. Not getting any hours back tonight, so will only have 8hr 51min tomorrow to get to the shipper. Should be able to make it to Richmond a day early and will see if I can drop the trailer on the yard for a local driver to deliver.
