Brought the Tacoma to Toyota this morning for my state inspection (was due back in April so I can renew my registration)…….hahahahaha, oops.

Sitting here listening to soccer moms complain about a 90 minute wait for an oil change and brake inspection… thinking to myself the Peterbilt dealership would’ve been lucky to have the paperwork off the service advisors desk after three days. Sheesh.

I was really hoping we could blame the ELDs on this one, personally.

test drove the new tundra. Twin turbo 3.5l It can chirp em easily. But at 55k I told em I rather strap some go-fast bits to a Corvette instead. And you know, actually go fast

Weird front end look. The back is alright though (felt the same way about the current generation Tacoma — it’s grown on me). Really liked the color. Interior was quite nice for just an SR5. Rear window completely drops which is much nicer than the slide for me. No compartments in the bed. Didn’t check for underseat storage. Seemed nice. Price point I’d compare with a half ton from GMC/Ram and go from there. 55k gets you into a lot of used vehicles as well so if that’s an option you can price it against nearly anything less than a 1 ton diesel dually nowadays. I’m still iffy on the twin turbo nonsense the EPA is basically making it a necessity for these manufacturers. It didn’t have any of the TRD goodies on it but seemed nice enough.

Thanks. I've always run F-250s but I've been eyeballing the Tundra. Might be time for a change. Besides, my favorite Ford salesman just went to work for Toyota.
