I am trying to see if drivers of concrete front loader cement mixing trucks produced by OshKosh are aware of a huge hazard to them. Heater hose in cab of trucks not covered by shield have burst randomly and severely burned drivers spending weeks in burn unit. Has anyone else been notified of this hazard to CDL Drivers of these trucks? Has this happened to anyone else? Please post to allow all drivers to be aware of this danger, so they all can protect themselves the burns from the steam and scalding water bursting from the hose can and has melted the skin causing massive injury. Is anyone aware of this please let me know. Thank you.

Heater hoses don't just randomly burst. They show signs of failure long before they start leaking. I'd say this falls into the lack of proper maintenance catagory rather than a manufacturer's issue.

I’m not sure who you are asking about an Attorney? The person whom replied about proper maintenance or me? I’m a relative of a CDL driver who was horrifically burned by a bursting heater hose in the cab of an Osh kosh front loading cement mixer truck, while he was driving down the highway. There is a pure danger to drivers everywhere. I’m trying to make drivers aware of this hazard and trying to see if anyone else had suffered injury. It is about time manufacturers keep the drivers safety and comfort in a truck instead of in their pocket. No one should ever suffer any injury while trying to make a living. To add....YES the hose just BURST scalding and melting the drivers BODY. See photos attached. OSH KOSH knows this is a danger ask them. Proper maintenance is it in their manual? Like a car manufacturer manual. Just asking ? Also are you an attorney? Or a control blogger for OSH Kosh damage control? This forum is about keeping our family and drivers everywhere educated and safe while working their butts off.
