Well I am still here at Saia, I hit 4 years of employment with them this month, I haven't been coached about camera stuff for over a year now, I don't know if that has to do with the departure of former head of safety for the company or not, I just know she is gone now, she started all the camera nonsense, Saia has had a hard time getting drivers apparently, I am not really concerned about it, in fact I like it because I think it's forcing them to rethink how they treat their employees, it was way more heavy handed when I first started, but now I honestly I really don't know what we're doing, I just know I am being left alone and I am good with it, the firearms thing, yes we will no longer be hauling firearms, it's not a woke thing, Saia is getting ahead of the game by protecting themselves from future liability and law suits, it's to bad its come to that but I don't blame them for it.

I left last summer. But I was a Linehaul driver. So my insight is pretty much how @USMC 3531 feels. I left on good terms nothing because of the company. TM didn’t want me to go and said the door is wide open for me to come back. I have friends still there they’ve been there for 3-4 years. Talk to them daily and dont plan on leaving. Took another opportunity and haven’t looked back and it’s for the better for me. Saia has chilled out a lot from what I saw and what I’m hearing. Plus my friends say the rumor is Saia is trying to be highest paid. .76cpm is what their thinking. Company knows how to make money so you won’t have to worry about the check bouncing. Only way they can be great is get rid of the camera or go forward facing. But here in Denver OD in their brand new trucks have in ward facing cams too. So Cams in LTL are here to stay.
