Heading off to Werner

Got a phone call from Werner this morning. Will be starting orientation on Feb 1st. It will be in Fontana, Ca. The thing that I'm not too crazy about is the bus ride from Reno, Nevada to Fontana. They said about 15 hours.

 

See if you can book a flight. They will give you whatever the bus ride was going to cost. The difference, which you will pay, may be worth it not to sit on a bus for that long.

 

got a pre approval letter from this company, how much do they pay u for attending orientation? how much did u guys make the first year with no experience? how much hometime do you really get? I was told only western regional is hiring and not otr and I would get 3-4 days off with 14 days out. is this true with regional?

 

Most of the guys i trained go out for 3 weeks and get 3 days off.

 

being gone for 3 weeks, I would like to have atleast 4-5 days off before I go back on the road. "the 4th-5th day is to flirt with the truck" hey, you treat your truck good, truck will treat you good

 

Orientation and trainig is $325.00 A WEEK iirc.Also,you will be very lucky to get 4-5 days home after 3 weeks out.They like to give 1 day for each week out.

 

so i will never be home to get laid pretty much

 

wow 325 a week, i could buy a ####### house with that, talk about minimum wage

 

325 is what you will get paid while you are out with the trainer

 

thats not including taxes and the bond they take out
