They do have per diem, but it is not mandatory.

Also, they do allow the smaller plug in type of inverters, which is plenty to power a laptop, phone charger, or whatever else you may need. The bigger inverters that must be hard wired direct to the battery are generally not alllowed, with one exception. If you have sleep apnea and require the breathing machine, you can get a prescription from your Dr, purchase the inverter from Swift, and their mechanics will install it. That is the only way. We were told in orientation that you can not bring your own inverter and have them install it. You must have a prescription.

But at least they do allow the smaller plug in types.

Road Dust, sorry to see you giving up on it, but I can understand personal stress. You need to get that stuff resolved at home so you can keep your mind on the road. Hope everything works out for you and you can join us on the road soon.

Thank You. I will be joining you soon. Instructor passed me because I had the required hours of drive time, and according to him I had done an excellent job. Also, since I already have a cdl, no reason for me to stick around for the dmv test. Will be there for orientation Monday.

So RD you may be coming back to Swift? I would love to see all of us happy working somewhere.

I called another company that I had applied to. Monday I am going to have to call them and nail them down on a date. 140 driver company. APU's. 40% of their stuff is driver unload.

We'll see. Saturday is the full moon don't want to piss them off on Friday! Monday things should be cooled off. :biggrin_2556: :biggrin_2559:

    .

Yeah Rug, I am still with Swift and will be in orientation Monday. Swift has excellent but demanding training. It has been hard for me, but I am glad I am hanging in there.
No one in my class had anything bad to say about their training.

Not sure on the rider policy, but I know the tests are not easy at Millington.
