What about this bank account? To open it didnt they have to put something into it, usually $10, show a picture I.D. and sign the forms? So what did they do after that? If someone opens a bank account in someone else's name isnt that fraud? Instead of going to the company with this information did you go to the bank?
Pitbull Dog 500 and Rollover the Original Thank this. -
My name is Curt Morehouse and I am here to defend this libleous post about our company. The FACTS of this matter are this....
1. OP's credit was too poor to get a checking account.
2. We require some sort of bank account to work here because we pay via direct deposit.
3. The owner's son (Kenny) is married to an employee of Wells Fargo who could bypass the credit requirements to get an account there.
4. The OP ok'd Kenny to give her SSN and DL# to his wife over the phone so she could start an account.
5. The OP later SIGNED a form from Wells Fargo to finalize the creation of that account. This account COULD NOT have been started with out the OP signing the form.
6. The OP's safety record and driving habits, along with Morehouse Truck Line's inablilty to make her happy (no matter what we tried) lead us to believe that it was no longer productive for us to maintain an employer/employee relationship.
7. Nebraska is a "right to work" state, which means we do not have to have a reason to terminate an employee, just like the employee does not have to have a reason to quit working here.
8. The OP then brought a bogus EEOC suit which was dismissed.
9. The OP then brought an OSHA suit, which caused an investigation, which was completed and Morehouse was found not in violation of ANY safety rules.
10. Only after both suits were dismissed did the OP come up with this story about "stealing" SSN's.
These are the facts. I am Curt Morehouse, Office Manager at W N Morehouse Truck Line, Inc, and I am stand behind these statements. I am not afraid, unlike The OP, to post my name along with these facts.
I hope that any person that reads this post and is interested in working here at Morehouse would read both sides and make up their own mind. You could also request the details of both of the suits the OP filed.
I am leaving out the OP's name because unlike her, we respect people's privacy. But you know who you are lady, and if you post anything else without stating the facts correctly, you will be sued.Last edited by a moderator: Nov 22, 2011

To answer Jumbo's question above...
1. No, she didn't have to deposit anything into the account. That was part of Kenny's wife's ability to override credit requirements. She could also not require any starting deposit.
2. The OP worked here for a month shy of three years. Her payroll was directly deposited in this "fraudulent account" for all of those three years. If she had a problem with what was done, why did she sign the form to finalize the account? Why didn't she say anything for three years?
The facts on this matter are easy to decipher. A driver with a poor attitude towards safety was fired and had a hard time finding another job afterward because of that safety record. She then decided it was Morehouse's fault that her record was terrible, tried to get us to change things on the DAC report, and when we refused to LIE for her, she got vindictive and started making stuff up. Case closed.Last edited by a moderator: Nov 22, 2011

I aplaud you Mr. Morehouse for coming on here and setting the record straight. Too often we hear just one side of the story.
If more companies were "transparent" with their dealings with their drivers, as you apear to be, this industry would be a whole lot better off. JMHO -
If I lived in Nebraska, I would consider your company for employment. Your passion in defending your name in a normally hostile environment to companies is admirable.

You are so right!!

Swing and a miss for Texastea, you just got owned when the truth came out.
-
Thank you Mr. Morehouse for taking the initiative to defend your company against what obviously were the words of a disgruntled employee. You get used to seeing that in this forum, what is less common is people like yourself coming in here to set the record straight. Again, thank you.

I think Mr. Morehouse acted in a worthy manner. He came into the forum, stated the facts as he knows them*, did not sling mud, and defended his company.
Kudos!
*We all know that there are two sides to each story. Somewhere between them is the truth. It just so happens that in this case, I believe that slider bar is heavily weighted in Mr. Morehouse's favor.Rollover the Original Thanks this.
