There is some shady something going on.
Geekonthestreet Thanks this. -
Credit Union is the best bet. Even if you need to deposit cash. Most credit unions are part of a national network that allows transactions at any member of the network.
you can get an ATM/Debit and Credit card from them as well. Most also offer an app and bill pay service. Most have no fees for most accounts.downplay Thanks this. -
Redneck bankin's funner. It's worth it for the name alone and the sweet debt card graphic.
Redneck Rewards Checkin' Account - Accounts
They have good rates and refund up to $25 in ATM fees monthly. I've never held an account there so no first hand experience with them.Last edited: Jul 18, 2022

I don't know for 100% sure, but I was told last night that you can deposit cash to your bank via Western Union. There are going to be some fees if this is possible.

First, a generous family member withdrew $7000 from their savings and handed it to me cash to pay for my CDL school and a few expenses. I’d like to hand it back as received—nothing particularly shady about it.
Secondly, I need to build up some funds soon to pay an accountant or attorney to get my taxes in order. I missed a few filings. It could be very hard to make bills and pay a professional depending on how much might be taken from my account if the government decides to do so. So yes, I have a slightly shady reason.
But, I have a friend who has been through it with the IRS. It wasn’t that bad for him. So, I intend to do the same soon. It is not like I am avoiding child support or something really nefarious! I just need resources to get by and pay a professional to get me out of my jam. My friend was lucky enough to do it before the IRS garnished his wages or tapped his accounts. But, you never know what might happen. They have the power to do those things. -
Are you NEVER at home? I don't know, but if were depositing cash I would do so at home. I still can't understand why you need to make cash deposits like this. EVEN if it is only 2 a year. Now, if it were me I would get one of the Netspend cards at Walmart. They will allow over a $10,000 balance. You can use any Walmart to load them. Then you can also use them online. You can also transfer money from it to your local bank. YES, you will pay some fees, but in my opinion with Walmarts all over creation and many that will allow trucks to park, getting in one should not be impossible.
I use a Netspend card when I want to buy something online and I don't trust the company with my main card. -

They can only take a certain percentage of a paycheck.
And it would not require a cash deposit into the account.
