Which compay: XPO or MME?

Any drivers for XPO or MME? I did pre-interviews with both today. For the Mounds View, MN terminal for MME, and the Fridley, MN terminal for XPO. I guess the Fridley terminal is a "training" terminal? I have no LTL or forklift experience so some training would be required, but I wonder if there is extra stress from working day to day in a training facility.

Sounds like linehaul at XPO is not drop and hook. Touch freight only. It does offer $.769 / mile out of the gate and $33 and change per hour when touching the freight which sounds pretty good to me.

MME was nice because I got a call from the actual dispatcher after I filled out my application, a guy who'd been there 24 years. Always good to talk to a real person- my future boss, and not some recruiter. The linehaul pays $.69 to start and ends up at $.73 after one year. $31.60 per hour. I don't think there is as much touch of freight but I didn't get confirmation of that. This terminal is 10 minutes closer to home than XPO's. And the dispatcher said the work would top out around 50 hours per week which is good for me.

Right now I'm leaning MME because I already met one of my dispatchers (one of two), I like the guy, and the commute would save me 1hr 40 mins per week, but the money at XPO is awfully tempting. Is there anything else I should know about either company before I pull the trigger?

Are there any particular headaches with working the dock? For instance are there days when you have to wait for a dock to open up? Do you ever have to sit and wait to get a forklift? Part of the reason I'm getting out of my convoy type flatbed job is I'm beyond tired of dealing with other drivers and the warehouse guys at the same receivers every week who drag their feet. Is there anything like this in dock work or LTL or XPO in particular? Or is it pretty much you work at your own pace and your waiting on other people is minimal?
