Have to say that the idea of an electric powered vehicle is not so bad. Some of the things that could be done, like 100 percent all wheel drive. Technology has improved materials and other equipment that could make possible efficient motors at each wheel. Better traction in bad weather conditions. Probably have better and more consistency with road speed. Electronic controls on the motors could basically turn up the horsepower when needed, then dial it back when the power is not needed. Gives some things to think about.

 

All good, until...

You can't find a place to recharge the batteries, or charging takes so much time that you are late, or you run out of juice in the middle of nowhere.


We are not even near the point where that technology is viable.

 

Today I will finish the brake job from hell yesterday afternoon I got 3 wheels screwed on in 2 and a half hours. The sweat was real hand torquing because I want to make sure the new wheel studs are properly seated. Temperature was in the low 90s but the humidity was low it was comfortable outside sitting in the shade. Working like a rented mule not so much. Bride has informed me that there is no gravy this weekend is starting off poorly.

 

Watching national weather and apparently west Chicago suburbs are getting hammered.

 

I own an electric vehicle and love it, can’t imagine life without it now that I got it— it’s the idea of some AH that’s never worked or done anything meaningful in their whole F’d up life mandating that they know better than anyone what’s best— it ain’t the vehicle
