Good luck to you. I took a similar 20 year break from driving. I drove to put myself through college and law school . After practicing law for 20+ years I decided to try driving again. I was originally looking for a part-time driving position while working as a government attorney. However, no one would hire me since I had no recent driving experience so I bought my own truck/trailer and became an owner/operator. I joke that for a while I may have been the only truck driving trial attorney in the country.
I enjoyed it more than I thought and it became financially feasible to do it full-time. I've been operating for almost 5 years now and wish I had made the switch sooner. I wish you the best.Chinatown, jmz and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
