Did you have a CHEMO Regimen recently?
If not, hair samples can be had ANYWHERE on Body, so WHY wait?!
- - - - - -As to carrying a firearm in your Company Truck, that will be decided by The Company, not the Driver.
If You're an Owner Operator, well, it's Your Truck.

I went all over the Country from 1998 to 2018 then locally for a couple years.
Never saw a need for a Pistol or related in truck.
Some places were creepy and spooky and all together kooky but not so bad.

Any search I've had at a port was them coming inside the truck and looking around. Never had a "shakedown" where they turn out the bedding, go through cabinets and bags, look behind panels, etc. Think you have to piss someone off to get that.

My Arkansas carry permit is recognized by 37 states. We do have Constitutional carry here but I know many of those 37 states do not recognize it.
My company does not allow us to carry in the trucks. Some chemical plants and refineries do check but never have actually got into the sleeper. If I was to ever go OTR again, I would probably carry.Another Canadian driver, tscottme, motocross25 and 1 other person Thank this. -
We carry everywhere even when we were company drivers. Some states we break the gun down and lock in in an ammo box but we’ve been carrying 4 1/2 yrs and never had a problem. We were asked once when we went to a port and we said no so I guess if they would of searched we would of been screwed.

I started carrying a pistol years ago, maybe around '73. slept with it underneath my pillow many of a night. I ran mostly the northeast and with full knowledge that if I got caught, it would be hell to pay. But I did it anyway.
Now! someone stated that just because you drive a commercial vehicle, a search warrant is not required. WRONG! But I am not getting into a pissing contest over this.
Oh, on the hair drug test. I went for one several months ago. I have wore a flattop hair cut for years, now I shave my head. all they did was get the hair off my chest, so just because your head doesn't have hair, you got hair elsewhere. LOLLast edited: Jul 30, 2022

A druggie with a gun? What could possibly go wrong?
-
kinda sucks, but i am retired and hardly cross my state line anyways
i "might" go for the Utah state permit, which is good for like 36 other states, and i might also go for the MA, and FL permits as well...
but, some permits are only good for 1 year, some for 3 years, some for 5 years.....
in the end, do i wanna watch the clock for the expiration date, or just go to my club and another range and just shoot to my hearts content...???motocross25 Thanks this.
