Local Walmart Gig

    Anyone have a home daily position with Walmart in the Bethlehem, PA area? I can’t find any information and would really like to know if it’s worth leaving my current gig for. The recruiter I spoke to said drivers go from Bethlehem to places like upstate NY, NJ, & DE. Also said a shift would be 10-12 hours. I’m wondering if it’s forced dispatch and in general, looking for insight on what’s it’s like working out of there..

    I can’t say exactly but, I was going to take a local gig in Indy. Recruiter said it was pretty much the same pay structure as the regional guys but you didn’t make as much as them because you didn’t get as many miles. Local Walmart drivers seem pretty hard to find.

    I've not been there but a couple of drivers who have said it was an on.line dc and didn't know about drivers working out of there. Up here in the North East the on.line merchandise is handled by FedEx. WalMart has ordered 4,500 electric vans presumably for grocery home delivery from the store so that would be a day job but I think it would be a hectic day.

    Those home delivery grocery jobs have nothing to do with the private fleet.
