im pretty sure the truck can be guided to the nearest weight station where it can be done. Once in service mode a remote driver can go through the inspection with DOT officers on the ground.

Dot officer: Left turn signal
Remote Operator: turns it on.

DOT: push and hold brakes
Remote operator: activated brakes.


Not that hard. I’m sure it’s already been thought of.

I feel once the dust settles, electric/autonomous truck movement will be just like the natural gas truck movement. It’s all one big bowel movement, I don’t care what the articles say.
