When I'm driving and push the up button my drivers side window won't go up but, when I'm parked with the truck off and key in on position it rolls up fine with lots of power? All the other buttons work fine including "window down"... What could be causing this? Any ideas?
Just a wild guess But have you pulled the panel to see if there’s a loose wire that could be moving while driving?
What year is it? Rain falling into the switches on occasion will corrode the switches eventually. Sometimes the module goes bad but I’ve never done one on a newer Pete so I have no idea where it is or how to replace it. The KW has it all in the door.
I would lean towards the module wanting to act up, especially if it works fine with the engine off but key on. The multiplexing on these trucks these days is a mistake, a monument to our sins against God.
This ^^^ Sounds like an ECM bug to me. My truck does it on occasion too, it's one of those unreliable POS Volvos everyone hates though. I cycle the key and it works fine again. Actually mine never completely won't go up, the switch just acts up now and then and it won't do anything, but it's not a bad switch I don't think because I can cycle the key and it will work fine again.
Some Gm cars are developing this glitch. With engine running and in gear it will not allow window to roll up. Put it in neutral with foot on brake and it does. Engine off key on works fine. Some stupid safety default feature I’m sure.
