Do they use that same machine or a slight variation of it to lay fiber-optic cable? We moved one of those but it belonged to somebody else and it was a couple of years ago.

Back when I had a purpose in life, I had a customer that laid drain tile.. Cleveland wheel trencher with 12' wheel for the large main lines and a Fiat-Allis D-8 sized tractor with a plow for the small lines. The plow tractor had a spool and hopper on it for gravel. The crew kept drain pipe on the spool and a small loader kept the hopper full. It laid the small pipe 4-6' down with the gravel perfectly enveloping the pipe. Amazing and they laid a LOT of pipe in a day. Eventually the A/C got replaced with a D8L and later with a D9N. The old trencher with an old pony motor Cat engine labored on. Everything was tall, had to remove 2 buckets on the trencher to get to 14-8". Didnt have cameras in our pockets back then so only pic I took were to show my drivers where
the trencher had to sit on the trailer.

I did a thing and switched companies. I turned in the W900 and went back OTR. Now I’m driving “The Great Pumpkin”.
I loaded this in Charleston SC headed for NY. Since NY won’t let me travel after noon Saturday I’ll be camping out in PA until Monday morning.
