    I said after taxes. “$100 per day which after taxes is about $500 for a week”

    @Lennythedriver how much experience do you have?

    Keep in mind in trucking there’s a fine line between squeaky wheel gets the grease and a complainer. There’s nothing wrong explaining your situation calmly and trying to get compensated for your time waiting over the $100/day.

    Just over 4 years, roughly 600,000 miles, perfect clean record. Zero incidents or tickets etc.

    totally get it on the complaining versus advocating for myself. I’ve changed my tone. I’ve not complained. I have learned to speak up when needed but I do it with almost a humorous kind of tone and approach to it. I found it in the trucking industry you get a lot farther this way. Lol I’ll crack a few jokes say something like “come on” lol
    It just gets you further in this business as I’ve learned. Also, i’ve also learned to save the squeakiness for when it’s really needed and not for every little thing.
    I agree $100 is low, but they are paying it to me, so I can’t complain. I knew that’s what it was when I signed up to work at this company.

    should be out of here Friday

    @Lennythedriver
    Congratulations on this accomplishment, continued best of luck to you!
    1)
    May God be with you on all of your journeys!
    2) God bless you and your entire family!

    What kind of freight do you haul: dry van, reefer, flatbed, tanker, haz-mat, or oversized freight?

    God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

    The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.

    Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, every night, all year round.

    Nope, I got out last Friday. I think I was at the hotel a total of 15 days. 15 or 16. Company paid me for every day. After taxes my paychecks were around $520 a week. But I’m driving hard and making up for it.

    That’s about $60 or less before taxes and $32.50 a day after. I’d be printing off some copies of my CV.

    $100 a day, times seven days equals $700 a week. After taxes, if you read more closely, $520 per week. Yeah that’s still ridiculously low, but better than nothing
