Huh. Yeah I've never heard of that before. Must've been somewhere in the fine print I'm assuming. Didn't know that it was legal to do that, to be honest with you. But still, even then you have to wait 6 months when leaving Crete to access the money if you want it based on what you said. But that's still a far cry from having to wait until 59.5 years old until you want to access it, should you want to. So again, a far cry from "monopoly money".

I know stocks and 401k's have been going down, so if anybody wants a safe investment where you get a guaranteed return on your money to keep up with the government's official inflation number (whether it's accurate or not is debatable), you can purchase Savings Bonds that will give you a guaranteed 9.62% return on your money for up to 10k maximum annual contribution limit ($25 minimum annual contribution limit, so basically no minimum). You have to leave it in there for 1 year minimum and the rate will change after 6 months to whatever the new official government inflation number is.

You won't beat inflation with it, but you won't lose to inflation either (at least not to the government's official inflation number). Might be worth checking out for those of you close to retirement who aren't too keen on investing into retirement plans if you think we are heading towards a recession and the stock market will continue to go down. The interest you earn from these Savings Bonds will be taxed, but it's still not a bad deal all things considered.

Individual - Series I Savings Bonds

Hope I didn't derail the thread, just wanted to make a few points.

Nor can Shaffer touch that money, it’s yours since you legally vested in it. An employer can set certain rules pertaining to distributions prior to Federal withdrawal eligibility, but that in no way means it’s not your money. Corporations are legally afforded that plan rule flexibility because managing any pre-retirement distributions is a cost to them. It’s all in the plan documentation you signed.

NJ load went off pretty well. Hauled butt all the way there and managed to arrive around 3am.

Sadly no empties so bobtailed to a service plaza off 95.

Hoping weekend manages to plan my home load since vacation starts in 5 days.

    We shall see.

Don’t know why they send Crete in if they can’t get us out.
Going to get ugly here soon if they don’t move me.

They have begun to lose freight because of the issues they continue to have…they have no communication in Lincoln between departments obviously…until they fix those issues i think it’ll only get worse

Was sent a Mars load with a ridiculous amount of time on it

    Pick up times
    20220903_105648.jpg

    Delivery times
    20220903_105712.jpg

Load came with an auto msg saying to not bobtail in but weekend giving me the 'should be ok' msg since place has 4 empties already.

Will see when I start later tonight if I'm going trailer hunting, and if so this Mars also requires a trailer washout slip to drop.
