New to Trucking, new to the forum, have some questions

Not all inverters are the same but you should be able to run any appliance with what you have but make sure you only run the skillet on its own. Not while a bunch of other stuff is running

In my previous truck I had a cube freezer for extra storage. A Microwave and skillet or instant pot but would make sure the microwave and freezer were off before using one of the other items

 

When drawing heavy loads off an inverter they can consume over 100 amps form the truck batteries. You have to leave the truck running while cooking. Lighter loads are okay, like a light and a laptop.

Some appliances require a pure sine wave inverter to operate properly. Most inverters are using a modified sine wave. I bought an induction cook top and had to switch to a pure sine wave inverter to get it to work in the truck.

 

I had the small factory fridge that was built in to the cabinet
Then a small freezer like the one pictured
My upper bunk on that truck had a 1/2 folding upper bunk so I removed the mattress and put it up there with a couple bins that I kept food and ?? In
I also had a $500 inverter and an Apu so as mentioned above by @uncleal13 i had a power source running along with good batteries

I would make a bunch of meals at home and freeze them and was able to eat better and for less $
I still do that but have a big bunk now so I no longer deal with all that but it worked great

no APU then idle the truck while you’re using the inverter
