Also check to make sure your valve on the hydraulic tank is fully open. If it's near the ground, sometimes running over high piles of dirt will hit and turn the valve closed. It's happened to me.

we bought a 2020 and are having problems with the dump box not going up. almost had to buy a load of asphalt. Most times if you shut the truck down and let it sit it resets and it works but now it's happening more...twice in a day. we have taken it to the volvo and they plug it in and say they can't see any codes it's frustrating for sure. Spend way to much money for a new truck to have trouble this early in the game.

Its most likely not a Volvo issue. Most hydraulic kits are installed by a body upfitter and not done by the OEM. Probably have better luck taking it to a shop that specializes in dump box installations.

Under the cab where the PTO pump is, there’s a rod that goes out when the dump box is raised and in when the bed is lowered. Have someone work the controls and smack that rod with a hammer and dig around it with a screwdriver. Pebbles and dirt and mud get up there and jam it from working properly.

We have one that is air controlled rather than the rod/cable. We haven't had any problems with it but it certainly would be worth checking the air supply lines etc. if it is a similar system.

    motocross25 Thanks this.

Being so new it could be electronically actuated for all we know.

As crazy as this may sound, check the lines and the check valves. I had a buddy having the same issues and we took the lines off and re-seated them, worked kike new.
