Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

Minot is the closest city to me but not even once have I ever taken a load out of there, rarely deliver there either, its a dead zone. Most of the time I dh to Fargo, luckily I am little more east than Minot so its a short 230 miles. If I put my real location it would dox me. My town is under 100 people.

 

Cavalier. That's the place. Some other bean houses between there and Fargo too.

 

Do you like to pre-book a week in advance?
Aren't rates lower. Or is that not the case for flatbed

 

It has a couple times. I get more calls just because the brokers get a kick out of it.

I usually book same day or afternoon before, but with fewer good loads out there, I'll jump on one pretty quick now.

 

Yea, we've been jumping on loads too. Sometimes we call right when its posted and they say its already covered. Its a brokers market right now. Im surprised to see $3+ loads posted (and usually gone in minutes) when all the other loads are $1.50. Maybe those brokers just take a specific cut and don't try to milk for more.

 

Just left local Freightliner dealer returning some parts that never got installed on my turdbox. The sales lot is full. Hasn’t been this way in a long long time.

Would you mind sharing more info, for example where you saw these at, I've seen something similar 2020 at 500k, asking above 100k. Recent Ritchie results are still priced fairly high also.

 

Check out Premier Truck Group, subsidiary of Penske, earlier in the year Penske made an acquisition of 100 to 150 2020 and 2021 Cascadias. Most of the 21's never saw the public market but the majority of the 20's are all spread out across the SW right now, and it's nothing to see 180 to 240 on the cluster. May trucking only ordered w/basic 2yr warranty so take that into consideration. Prices ranging from 140 to 170 as of today.
