We are paid from the time we log on to pre-trip till the end of our post trip and all hours in between. Yes to answer the burning question everyone always asks, there were a few bad apples that abused this in the beginning. They were quickly weeded out. Our small group of hourly guys really enjoy being hourly so we keep each other honest about the hours we bill.
the hourly rate is $60.00

What's the drivers pay?
When I've talked about hourly being the way it should be there is always someone who says "But what about the slackers". With ELD and GPS it isn't that hard for management to get rid of them just as you said. Management gets paid to manage. Let them.EvertonP Thanks this. -
Now don’t get me wrong. It’s not all sunshine over here. I’m not home every weekend, and if we are away from home for our time off we have to bare the cost of flying home, but I still think with the added costs of flights every few weeks I’m still ahead. Oh and just to add to the age old fight… we ARE teamsters as well with new equipment!! -
