Falken Tyres’ parent company Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd (SRI) has won the “Tire Technology of the Year Award” at the Tire Technology International Awards for Innovation and Excellence.
    Falken BI830 11R22.5 14 ply 500 RPM.
Perfect for driving position. Closed shoulder. Last about 2 years. Rotate with the wheel every 6 months.
I tested it myself in NV, AZ, CA and UT. Rated up to 75 MPH. Tested up to 89 MPH.
You can thank me later. Heavily promoted with discounts for market penetration.

How heavy of a load and how long of a distance was the test? 3 miles empty during cold morning?)

76000lbs from Cedar city to close to St. George around 45 miles all summer long.
During the night time ambient temp in Southern UT is 80-90F in the July-August time frame.
    On I15.
Once passed AZ Virgin River Canyon the temp is 90-100F in NV in the night time.
    And I don't go over 75MPH anymore.
The drive tires pressure is 90 psi at cold before starting my desert run.
It gets to 120 psi in the daytime while driving.

You put your drives at 90 psi only?

Where do you find the rolling resistance on a tire?

Is that always or just now because you are running the desert in the hot season? I always run them at 110 psi. I think I'll drop that down to 105 to give me a better cushion as they heat up.

You run them at max cold PSI to keep the tire a certain shape when it rolls down the road. You know how your tire bulges at the bottom? Well as the tire rolls, that bulge comes and goes all along the sidewall. This constant changing of shape is what causes the tire to heat up. So don't worry about running them at max cold PSI, even in the Summer. If the heat causes them to "air up" to say 130 PSI, that doesn't matter, because the heat caused by running the tire out of shape will be far higher than the temp increase of a hot road.

It’s not so much the psi build up to worry about. Its the heat. That is what kills the tire not the high psi. Run the highest psi within the max psi. that will allow the tire to run coolest. Even 5 to 10 over wont hurt if heat isn’t building up. If psi is too low sidewall flex and bead bundle wire stress along with the high heat it generates will cause sidewall failures/ ruptures long before too much psi will.
Run them at 90psi in 100+ temp and they will be hotter than 105 if G or 120 if H.

Okay. So stay the course at 110 psi no matter how hot it is? I have my drives at 110 also, but I keep the trailer at 100. Should I bump them up to 110 psi also?
