Even if governor cut off is set to 125? My truck supplies enough air to loosen up 5-6 nuts before having to refill air tank for the rest of the wheel.

I've seen a guy trying to get lugs off with 1in gun, and air from the truck. No go. Don't know what size of hose he was using, but the gun clearly didn't get enough air

Most likely tried to supply the air directly from gladhand line? Pneumatic 1in impact guns need a lot of volume, AND constant high flow of air at least 90PSI to operate properly.

If you’re going to use the truck air , I’d consider a portable 5-7 gallon tank , with a half inch hose , at the wheel with the impact tool, and feed the tank with the gladhands .

Yoire still gonna be waiting on the tank to refill but that gets you the volume you need , in short bursts .
As for doing more than one wheel, you should be at a shop ..
Or at least at your house with the proper tools .

why would you be removing 40 Lug nuts for one flat tire ?

i always carried a mounted spare , and a Jack etc
But always called road service first and if they could come swap it on for me in less than an hour I just paid them to do it .

I regroove all my tires, so I will sometimes pull off all my wheels and regroove them.

But yeah I really wouldn't need to do more then 10, change the wheel etc, do what I got to do, then move onto the next one, I wouldn't be blasting 40 in a row.

I do all my work on the side of the road as I can't get my trailers into my car space space of my 1 bedroom apartment. Lol

I have regrooved tires as well
But it was much easier for me to just Jack up the axle so I could spin the tire as I grooved it .

We have different regulations In Australia, namely we have to have full mudguards, so to get access to the tires on the truck or trailer you have to take off the guards....

Don't you have air suspensions? Undo the leveling valve and lift the frame with it.

Ahhhh, so THATS my problem, didnt have mounted spare...

Battery is still full after reinstallation btw, torque wrench not pictured

I saved 6 hrs and 20$ by having 1000$ of tools in the truck... but the loves still charged me 656$ for the new steer + mount/dismount...
