Their training is a joke. They get them a cdl and run the newbie and the trainer as a cheap team. Their safety record is bad enough to get their pre pass suspended.

I was with my trainer at Schneider for a whopping 4 AND A HALF DAYS.

After that, Schneider assigned me a tractor--and shortly thereafter I was running loads up in the northeast--mostly in and around Jersey.

I would submit, with all due respect--that Prime's training is pretty good, to excellent--compared to that.

Have you seen their drivers? They can't even back up.

 

What makes you think they are unsafe? Their OOS rates run about 1/3 of the industry average.

 

Your first job in trucking is just a means to an end a lot times. Most people start at a mega but then move on when they got experience. Some people stay. It’s like prison, some people can’t wait to get out, some actually become institutionalized and wanna stay longer.

I for sure see less Prime drivers on bonehead truckers than any of the other megas.
