    Hello, all.

I have a bit of an issue. I have lurked threads of days' past here but the ones I've seen aren't my issue exactly so I decided to make an account just to post this.

I was fired from Western Express in February for a safety violation (failing to report an accident on time). The accident in question was I hit a fire hydrant with my trailer wheels while turning. No injury, no damage to anything but the hydrant, and I paid the fine. The problem is the termination is murdering me. I tried applying to companies when I was fired and no one wanted to touch me with a 10 foot pole then, and now almost 8 months later nobody still wants to take me on. I know there are a lot of trucking companies, but it seems all the ones I can think of have said no.

Is there any hope? Should I wait four more months then try again? Should I throw in the towel? I would really appreciate some advice here. I feel I've learned my lesson. It was a stupid, boneheaded mistake that I feel I'm being overly punished for, is all.

Have you put out a call for @Chinatown yet?
    What's your locale?

Did you get on with WE because of previous hireability issues?

I ask because of it's last chance company reputation.

I do know about that for Western Express. Alas, when I was hired I was young and dumb and knew nothing about the trucking industry. WE was my first ever trucking job because they called me back first, not because of hiring issues. If I could go back I would tell myself to wait for Swift or something else.

    Good deal.
@Chinatown will most likely have a recommendation or 2 for ya.

I hope so. The forums I've seen from years ago they seem really helpful. 400k companies and it feels like they're all saying no because of this incident, you know?

The odd part is I almost was in with CFI. The recruiter ran all my information and sent me copies of it. My PSP only reports a warning ticket I got in January, but not the hydrant incident. MVR is surprisingly clean. I ordered my DAC report and Western Express didn't even put it on there. What ruined it was them sending a fax in stating I was terminated for a safety violation.

I'm guessing he will be along soon to see if he can help.
    Good Luck.
