If you are taking a load into Florida for less than a $5+ a mile right now you should go ahead just hang yourself by the balls.

I have no idea how some of these brokers cover these loads. WTF.

Because unfortunately there are people out there with trucks that don't know how to add, don't know how to run a business, and thought they were going to get rich so they paid three times more for a piece of junk than they should have.

Now they will run the wheels off on crappy loads just to try to Stave off the Repo Man for another day or another week.

    Bizarre but true.

Got lucky today. Took one last look at the board at 5:30. Booked a 1000 mile trip home. Picking up tomorrow, delivering Monday. Posted at 35k lbs. paying $2900. Similar loads were paying $1800-$2200. Rate con came through at $3000, and the load only weighs 2500 lbs. Mondays load came through $100 short. Had to call the Broker, point it out, and get that fixed. I won’t bother doing that this time, lol. Can’t help but wonder if they just flipped me an extra $100, or if it was a mistake. I’m leaning towards the former. Leaving it at that.
