Waiting on New Trucks thread.

I noticed Ford commercials in Northern Indiana. Dealer in town still looks light in inventory.

 

My friend’s 2 newest 389’s just showed up last week with moto mirrors mounted on the truck but no mirror switches in the door. Peterbilt says they can’t get any. Lol

 

House prices are still stupid here in Southwestern PA. Sold quickly too. My neighbor is bidding and keeps losing. He wants a big house and is in the 450K range (crazy and stupid but he can afford it I guess) and keeps getting outbid.

Car lots are still mostly empty. Depends on the make. Stores are still packed. Starbucks still has a ridiculously long line. Doesn’t appear anyone is struggling from the looks of anything. But then again people are dumb and won’t cut back until they are flat broke.

Local Freightliner still asking dumb prices for used trucks, but their inventory has increased substantially. The repair lot is still overfilled waiting on parts. Either that or people went broke while waiting and those are all abandoned and waiting for repo.

 

Been a few showed up here with wires hanging out everywhere. No digital dash or switches

 

Needed a moto mirror for the FLD. This particular model has been unavailable for over a year. Finally snagged one at the junkyard.

 

Nothings changed in the omaha market every thing is still stupid high and my carrier is rushing equipment to the auctions and getting stupid prices .
I read someplace recently that auto repossessions are at record levels .

 

There's always been new pickups and cars on the lots here. May have been a little thinner than usual at times but I've yet to see a car lot less than half full since the beginning.

 

Always new vehicles on every dealers lot within 400 kms of me.

 

I have a 2nd cousin who just way overpaid for a house. 3br, 2 car garage takes up half the basement, on 10 acres with no gas royalties. 2000sq. Paid 360k. They'll never get that much back out of it. A few years ago that would of been in the 200k range around here.

They don't make crazy money either. She's a nurse and he works on the railroad

 

Man property prices are cheap out there! Out here something like that goes for an easy $550-$650 CAD.
