Im 22 and graduating college soon I have a landscaping company through summer and fall, however I am in Michigan and we obviously don't work due to snow. I planned on getting CDL and have a ram 3500 for my landscaping business. However, being a small operation I wanted to find work for myself and start a trucking company using our new ram 3500 during our offseason. I have been browsing these forums trying to familiarize myself with the trucking world and wanted to start small by getting a car hauler or focus on flatbed trucking type work for now. For those O/O doing this type of trucking, how did you begin building your client base and market your business? Any starter tips or issues that you had when you started are appreciated. Thanks guys

If you have an enclosed trailer already for your landscaping equipment, get into the premium car hauling business instead.
People who buy a special car, and would never let it be hauled in anything but an enclosed trailer.
An employee just bought a nice car, it was hauled in an enclosed trailer behind a pickup.
The woman said she makes #### good money doing it.

Every single person I know that's into landscaping does snow removal during the Winter. Plowing/salting/shoveling lots, streets, driveways and sidewalks. You'd do much better following their lead instead of getting into Transportation.

Add a dump truck, use it for delivering your own product in season and snow/salt off season,

We do snow plowing as well, but I have my crew do that as I'm trying to start trucking on the side
