Thanks again. Sorry for all the questions but do you know what the turn around time to submit a new application for a CDL is? I know permits have so much days that they’re valid for. I was going through forums and apparently some states if you fail the first 3 attempts you have to wait an entire year just to reattempt it again?

This is the video from my CDL school for the the pre-trip and in-cab brake test in Texas. If you memorize everything in the video, you’ll pass the pre-trip and in-cab tests, because that’s exactly what I did and passed the first time.
lual and Jenkins2020 Thank this. -
I pulled full truck, got to the back said I'm done with the outside. She said are you sure your done. That shouldve been my hint but I said yes cause I had just said I was done with the outside. I failed cause of that. My instructor raised some hell got the DPS manager out there and the examiner said I didn't miss anything but it was cause I said I was done. Was a PITA cause i was the most ready for that first test cause the practice was fresh. -
That is complete and total nonsense. He can explain as much as he wants as soon as the test is over. He just didnt want to take the time to do it. -
In Texas it is a b c or d a is the front half engine etc. b is back of doors c is trailer. D is all of it. On any of them you have to do the coupling system air lines etc. if you pass that then you go to the incab and air brakes section.
If you fail 3 times you have to pay for a new permit and do the tests again. The permit is valid for 6 months and you can renew it for 6 more months if you have not failed 3 times.
