All the web sites I've seen for driving jobs will list the requirements and felonies are included. A good place to see alot of companies is to do a search under truck fleet directory. It's alphabetized so there's lots of companies.

eh not really, see I moved to portland oregon from salem where that happened. Portland is BUSS captial. I did not bother getting my licence until 10-1-07 and the lady said I had to have 3 years no bad driving or tickets.

Sure I have more than 3 years but less than 3 years actualy having a licence. I'm sure this might matter to them but I would not mind omiting the part of getting my licence back in 2007 if I knew I could get away with it.

After all they never asked me when I got my licence back from being suspended

No they will not exceed the current previous 3 year to date current status.

BUT most applications specifically ask if you have "ever" had a suspension or revocation. . . . . gotta check one box or the other:yes2557:
Personally I would check "NO" and let the chips fall where they will.
    Wanna work or not? :biggrin_255:
Checking that box will in no way be the biggest risk you'll ever take in your life.

    Send me a post card with your first check . . . . . . :biggrin_25523:

Answer all the questions truthfully but do not volunteer information. Never. If they ask have you had any tickets in the past three years then you answer no if you haven't had any tickets in the last three years. But if they ask have you ever had any speeding tickets then you have to answer yes. Believe me the worse thing that can happen to you is getting caught lying on a job application. You might as well burn that CDL because you won't need it.

Oh they will hold it against you , but some lowlife place like Digby Southwest (Doin' Swifts Work ) will take anyone, don't plan on making any money though- he will tell you right to your face you are there to make Him money- some people have no morals

I will check YES I had it suspended back in 1998 for driving with out insurance, however the lady did not ask me how long it was suspended and most people assume I did not go 11 or so years with out a licence.. THUS I could be honest AND get away with it...

Who knows, this October will be 3 full years with my licence and heaven forbid I get a ticket in the meanwhile... Thus I may just get a crapy survival job while I wait but I'm dam positive I want to drive truck.

I don't mind having a boss, I don't mind someone telling me what to do but I sure as hell don't like someone physicaly standing over me while I do it. I can deal with a trainer driver no problems but once Im on the road in my own cab I want to be left alone with my cats, lap top and 300 GB's of music.

I love you guys, thanks a ton for your help.

for anyone else out there SWIFT does not hire people with felonies
