Thats cool and all. But you didn’t complain that it was listed. In fact you’re happy it was because you wouldn’t have given them a blank check.

I promise you, you would have never signed anything with anyone if you didn’t know the agents %. And you would never had signed a loan document without knowing what the broker makes.

say all you want but you are taking advantage of broker/agent disclosure forms and you are liking it.

Had you not known the value of your home correctly you would have lost a lot.

seen it done and an agent even tried it with me before he realized I’m not the one to be played with.

brokers can get audited as far as loads origination and destination, who hauled it, BOL, things of that nature.

an auditor can ask for all the loads broker has hauled in let’s say past 30 days, randomly pick 20-40 loads from the list, and follow the paperwork.

a double brokered load would pop right up. Once the load was tracked from shipper to receiver. Who was the original broker, who picked it up, who signed for it, who delivered it.

pretty sure this can squeeze out 90% of double brokers.

Just a quick look makes me feel like saying $7,000 US dollars.
If i was really going to bid on it i would look deeper into permit costs, escort cost, etc.

Every idiot who works for some government organization with some letters in its name, feels they should show up to my pit, and tell me how to run it. They don't have a cluewhat they are talking about, or how to run a pit, but they read some text book once upon a time, so they believe that they now know everything.
Doesn't matter that I have owned it for 20 years, what could I possibly know :)

    Why does that matter.

When reading up on it, i cannot find where that is illegal.

Many things are sold to a second or third party.
For example, loans, debt collection, insurance, mortgages, leases, and more.

Actually I should clarify, it's illegal if it's not authorized by the shipper. Many times, loads are double brokered, sometimes called re-brokered, without the shipper's knowledge, and the shipper really doesn't care as long as their freight gets moved. That's why brokers that engage in the practice are rarely prosecuted for it.

The practice can be very risky for the carrier that actually hauls the load, and is best to be avoided. Now if everyone is making plenty of bank, and all parties are reputable and all the contracts in order, I guess it's not a problem. That's something ive personally never seen happen though.
