load shouldn’t of ever been there. His OH permit should of routed him otherwise

some do to certain with and weights and heights. Last time I was 12’ coming back east I was routed around 80 in IN and OH, into Lodi OH, 76 to 80 into PA. Not sure how wide he was, or what the toll road restriction is, either way he screwed up. And yes usually when allowed on a toll road or toll bridge it will say all oversized loads stop in lane (1) and show permit. Or us lane 1 etc

I saw one of those headed north on 35 through Oklahoma yesterday and couldn’t figure out what it was. That makes sense now. That one wasn’t tarped.

 

Yes and there are limits on oversize dimensions and you need a toll road permit even after you have your state permit and may have to present it to allow you to buy the toll road permit.

 

Back home working on the truck like always.. Becoming a better mechanic than a driver these days... Hauled some pipe around town today.. Dang things are heavier then ####

 

Went home for a bit.....

Came back out with these two. One little 15 mile run for the city of Los Angeles and one outta the ports to Texas. Both legal, but I still had my booster down for the first since a grader makes a difficult restack. And we had annuals anyway. Made the city pay for city permits in a lovely twist of irony.

Even the guys that put the liftgate on the city truck wondered why they didn't just put someone in an Uber and send them over there.

But I was the winner of the Short straw by being the only one in the area that day.

 

Don't try to apply reason and logic to a government job.
