I got it figured out . It was a wire rubbed thru.. Coming off the power side of the starter - going back to the control board, I imagine wasn't sending signal for the starter... cut it apart and put new butt connector on and it started right up!

Before the fix did it start and then throw an alt code or it tried to start but didn’t?
because that’s exactly the same color as my sense wire.Last edited: Oct 27, 2022

And no it never started... Like i said , it would kick in the pre start routine where it activates fhe fuel pump and the buzzer sound and as soon as the computer would try to kick in the starter to get it to crank, it would shut down the start routine and throw an alt code.. Im guessing because that wire had no signal from the starter to go ahead and crank...
Well once i cut out that bad psrt and crimped it back together it works as normalSiinman Thanks this. -
I misread your post and thought it started then turned off once alt code was thrown.
If it never started then the issue isn’t the alternator. As the alternator kicks on after it starts. The regulator getting the signal to turn on is when that happens and that happens after a successful start.
but I am curious as to what that wire is, if the harness is original it should have markings on it, if no markings it makes it even worse. -
Siinman Thanks this.
